The Legislative Information Resources Management Department (LIRMD)
The LIRMD serves as the institutional hub for legislative information and related services, catering to both House Members and the public.\n\nManages legislative resources to support the House of Representatives in its constitutional duties, aid Members in their legislative, constituency, and oversight roles, and provide the general public with access to legislative information.\n\nOversees the Legislative Library, Legislative Archives, and Legislative Museum.
Our Vision
The Legislative Information Resources Management Department (LIRMD) of the House of Representatives Secretariat is the preferred provider of Philippine legislative information and an emulated organization for its public interest-centric operations, products, services, and human resources.
Our Divisions
Legislative Library
The Library houses a collection of printed legislative resources as well as an array of parliamentary reference books, newspapers, magazines, journals, and general and special collections.\n\nIt also provides access to e-legislative resources including open access references, law databases, and online newspaper clippings.
Legislative Archives
The Archives is responsible for the permanent care of irreplaceable and invaluable evidential and historical documentation of proceedings of no less than two constitutional bodies and thirteen legislative institutions.\n\nIt also has in its custody the documents of four electoral tribunals and three parliamentary organizations; and photographs of Members of Congress from 1945 to the present.
Legislative Museum
The Museum collects and manages the historical objects, documents, and valuable records of the long history of the House of Representatives.\n\nIt also showcases permanent exhibitions featuring the history, chronology, and other facets of lawmaking of the House of Representatives.
